Features

5501 supports three remotely configurable modes:

-Smart Mode COCOT (B-1) telephone line operation: relies on set intelligence for rating, routing and answer supervision.

-Brite (Dumb) Mode Coinline operation: relies on C.O. intelligence for rating, routing and answer supervision

-Hybrid Mode Coinline operation: allows selective use of C.O. or set intelligence for rating, routing and answer supervision

The 5501 is line powered. It also features remotely downloadable operating system and site operation files.

The circuit board is enclosed in a rugged aluminum housing. Further features include flexible call routing and the ability to handle unique call situations using priority parsing.

Modern telemetry for programming and monitoring means you can access the system through the phone's keypad or remote keypads. The 5501 stores detailed call records for better payphone management and Alarm reports (coin jam, handset, inactivity, cash box level, etc...) that are transmitted to PNM Plus.
